About Us

Butterfly Academy is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) corporation. The primary purpose of which is to provide a safe haven for youth and cultivate creativity while empowering future leaders. There is a particular focus on arts enrichment for middle school youth. Enrichment includes writing, sketching, art, and much more. Through mentorship, youth will develop a support system with trusted individuals. Community engagement adds another layer that teaches youth the importance of pouring into their own community. To accomplish its mission, Butterfly Academy provides a rotating list of enrichment options, group mentoring and community engagement opportunities. These programs are funded primarily through donations from foundations, corporations and private individuals.

Founded in 2019, Butterfly Academy is headquartered in Charlotte, NC.

Butterfly Arts

Butterfly Arts Enrichment is the central focus of Butterfly Academy. Youth will identify an art of interest. From there, he/she will enroll in a specialized curriculum.

We offer a combination of arts-focused programming. Youth have the opportunity to discover and cultivate their creative talents in an explorative and structured environment.

Butterfly Cares

Butterfly Cares focuses on community engagement. The program partners with local businesses and community organizations who share the common goal of transforming the community.

Youth are exposed to various aspects of the community and are expected to build and nurture relationships within their own environment.

Metamorphosis

Metamorphosis aides in the social-emotional development of each young person with the long-term goal of empowering youth to become influential leaders and productive members of society.

Youth connect with skilled mentors who will guide them through a structured program of support that is rooted in building and maintaining meaningful relationships.

Groups will participate in engaging activities, scheduled meetings, and group team building.
